PTV went overboard on its saturation propaganda, and I spent time photographing one steam train making ten trips, at locations which show the effect of LXRA's napalm bombing already.
As ever, spin and propaganda: not a single figure of how many extra trains the reconfiguring will bring: 23 tph to Montmorency?
It seems that the Caulfield and northern loops and viaduct tracks become down and up pairs: Glen  Waverley to Upfield, with 23 tph to GW and Gowrie; Frankston to Craigieburn, with 23 tph to Frankston, but fewer to Craigieburn (the evil VLine).
That leaves Box Hill as a loop, with 23 tph to Ringwood, splitting into 13 to Mooroolbark and 10 to UFG.
It got completely lost with the term 'metro' and with Geelong.
The stupidity of the VLine vs Metro split remains, and the airport trains remain 25% slower than they need be.
