For a time the pub's name was sanitised to the Beach House, it was operated
at the time by or for the Collingwood Football Club as I recall. The proper
name has returned but as one word, Bleakhouse, according to the website.
Bleak House is a very apt name as any trammie who has run an early service
from South Melbourne Beach will tell you. Looking for a photo now.
