Re: Watch "Melbourne Made." on YouTube

Don’t apologize, Mark Skinner! I hadn’t seen it before, but I’m glad now! So thank-you for posting it!
A few things caught my attention – including old motor cars veering on and off the tram tracks (so what’s new?), bogie cable tram “cars” (trailers) in operation in Elizabeth Street, and what looks like police-man-directed “hook turns” in Swanston Street. But the crème-de-la-crème was two segments where cable tram grip cars and trailers separated (whilst slowing down at a terminus) with the Conductor “pulling the pin” between the trailer and the grip car while still moving. A double set of cross-overs would obviously have still been to get the grip car around the trailer to start running again. From my year or two driving the motorized cable tram set at the TMSV’s Bylands property in the 1980s, I could never imagined such a manouvre!
And I was impressed at the “W2”s belting along St. Kilda Road – overtaking the motor cars! Bliss!
Thanks again, Mark!

Apologies if this has been posted before.

Mostly cable trams, some electric trams, short railway clips and horses.
