Re: Melbourne 2021 art trams #4 of 6 (D2.5002) WAS Tonight - The Last Supper

Route 19 being relatively flat means less locked up non dynamic braked D2
centre wheels with flats than when they braked and always locked up the
wheels as they descended Scotch Hill when in use on route 16.

For those who don't know, flats, flat wheels, occur when a tram brakes and
its steel wheels lock up and skid along the track and make a flat spot on
the wheels, which makes a bang bang noise or in the case of D class trams,
just a terrible rattle noise. It can happen with trains too.

Andrew (who is going to make a hearing loss claim because of the noise of W
tram flats, loud brass next stop bell and received instructions from Radio
Centre, continue on driver and an Inspector or District Inspector will
check the noise by listening from a motor car. And then hell froze over).

PS Tram drivers do like driving Combino, D1 trams, aside from the fogging
up windscreens in winter and the woefully inadequate cooling from the air
con in summer. But to console drivers, passengers are also suffering with
woefully inadequate cooling.
