Yarra is running the inner end of route 70 because of the wheel shortage - thus saving a few As and using some Es that they find hard to place!

Their website says:

*Route 70 *trams run as*Route 70a*approximately every 10 minutes. The*Route 70a*operates in sections, with low-floor trams between the Docklands and John Cain Arena and high floor trams between John Cain Arena and Wattle Park.

... and yes Matthew, the Es are all stainless steel except for the cab ends and the bogie pivots on the car body, which are cast steel.
