That's a good point,

My experience was of the opposite change - having been a tram commuter to work for many years, in the last of my working years I changed offices and took a bus (the so-called premium SmartBus on Melbourne's route 903).

After falling on my backside twice in the first week I realised that riding a bus is a bit like climbing a ladder - always have three points of contact!
