The intersection of Spencer St and LaTrobe St is to close from tonight until Sunday 18th of April.

It looks like the whole junction is being relayed.

This is the 'terminus point' for Grand Prix traffic along Spencer St and the St Kilda light rail.  It is effectively half a grand union.

They use crossovers in Spencer St, LaTrobe St and Docklands and there have often been long queues of trams waiting to turn back.

It will be interesting to see if they make changes to the layout to expedite shunting.
