During my recent sojourn on Australia's South Island I visited the Eric Thomas Gallery Museum in Queenstown.
I highly recommend it if you are in the area.
Tucked away among the 30 rooms of displays and hundreds of photos was the attached pic.
The horse tram at Cape Sorell connected the lighthouse marking the entrance to Macquarie Harbour on Tasmania's west coast with a more protected location where boats could deliver people and supplies to keep the light going.
The tramway operated from 1900 to 1946.
