Yarra have had occupancy of Bridge Rd for track renewal since 11pm on Sunday last.

By this morning, not a lot was happening.  Normally most of the concrete wouild have been broken up by now.

All that was visible this morning was rail being welded into long lengths in the middle of the road and the road surface being renewed near Church St and on the bridge across the Yarra at the eastern end.

It seems clear that the rails across the bridge will be retained.  That's not surprising as replacing rails on a bridge is a major task.
