Of the Sydney modes, the TfNSW Customer Satisfaction surveys show that two
of the modes operated privately, metro and ferries, scored highest (96-98%)
while the government mode (suburban trains) scored lowest (90%). The metro
operator is the same I believe as the Melbourne metro operator which
suggests that other externalities are at work. Buses (50/50
private/government passengers) and trams (private) scored just above trains
at around 91%.They're all quite high scores generally so it's relative.
