Six days later all the track is in.
It is in concrete to sleeper height at each end and on concrete sleepers in open ballast in between.
Today's pics show the concrete at the northern end behind the zoo and the tamping machine crossing Elliott Ave. with the newly tamped track in the background.
The 'X' made of orange pipe in the pic is a reminder to crane operators of the HV cables over the site at that point.
