That would have been the section between Royal Park station and Park St. and is on concrete sleepers.

The section being renewed - between Flemington Rd and Royal Park station - is mostly on wooden sleepers.  The section from Royal Park station to the back of the zoo is in mass concrete.   I assume that part will be replaced either with sleeper track or concrete with resilient rail mounting, in line with current practice.
