Flashback 2005
  Mal Rowe

The Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday appeal in 2005 was a good excuse to give V 214 a bit of a run, and as usual, driver Greg King took the opportunity to visit some photogenic locations along the way.

The pic shows 214 and Restaurant car 939 at the stub terminus outside the Melbourne Assessment Prison in Spencer St.

A year later 214 got a paint job for the centenary of electric trams in Melbourne. It is now painted as NMET&LCo 13 and is at Hawthorn.

939 was replaced as a restaurant tram and was refurbished as Cuthberts 939 restaurant at Ballarat.

Mal Rowe - looking forward to being able to ride a tram in Ballarat again
