Re: E class progress

Hey all,
Interesting reading, but it does not address the fact that the
delivery rate of these trams is ridiculous to say the least the fact that
they are made less than 50 km from the system makes it even more so and the
delivery into service is even slower,it seems the longer that time goes on
everything is getting slower. Some other networks n Europe have put more
cars in service in a way shorter time, even allowing for importing
trams.Going back to when the Z's were being introduced as brand new
Melbourne trams as well, the longer the construction and the contract went
on the quicker things got, same with the A Class, and to a lesser extent the
D Class where we saw 2 -4 trams enter service at once at very small
intervals instead of 1 every 2 months.Everything seems to happen slower
here,we are a very weird place Australia why is it we pay more almost every
time for stuff made in our own backyard and sometimes takes twice as long
to arrive even made in the same state, there is no shipping,no import
taxes, materials are readily available.on't get me wrong i support aussie
everything but to me it just defies logic.
