Arthur Perry
  pn1

I am advised well known pioneer tram enthusiast, Arthur Perry, has been in
hospital, being treated for broken angle. He fell over at home in Sydney
last week. It was originally thought he'd suffered just a fractur but X ray
showed broken ankle.

Arthur was 89 yesterday (2 July 2020); not the best way to celebrate?

Arthur is well known as one of Australia's pioneer enthusiasts and got to
ride and photograph systems (e.g. Fremantle) that few visited.

However, he is perhaps best known for his love of Japan where he visited
several times.

Arthur had a long career with the New South Wales Government Railways.

I also understand his wife Norma hasn't been travelling too well in recent
times.
