Hi everyone

I believe today we were the first heritage/museum tramway in NZ (and possibly in Australia as well?) to carry passengers in service, post COVID-19 lockdown.

Some pics here to show what we did to comply with current Level 2 conditions   - similar to  NZ Public transport requirements.    We used Brisbane 236  (driver only) with just 1 entrance/exit on each side.   Very temporary alteration of side bars  (in case things change again soon)   and between John Harris and myself we did a  half hourly round tour service  (from Church corner through Ferrymead township and then out to the tram barns at Bridle Path Rd and back  - no  alighting)   and then cleaned touched surfaces after every trip as recommended by NZTA.    Had signage to show areas for seating,    One or two minor tweaks for tomorrow when expect more people to show.

Looking forward to larger crowds over Queens Birthday weekend,  with possibly relaxed  requirements by then??.

We have more photos of the signage etc if anyone would like to see them.

Cheers

Dave H
