One thing I find 'amusing' about their network is the line to the coast stops 2km short of the coast at Étang de L'Or, and the few times I went out there (first time on a bus pre-tram) a horde of people walked the final 2km to the coast at Carnon.

It appears Carnon is a different government area (Commune) and they didn't want to pay for the tram to be extended into the town itself, so the tram line stops at the Commune border. (Where the former bus route terminated too, probably for the same political reasons).

I also noted that every where  the lines intersected they put a full set of points and curves in to allow operational flexibility, there were many points I saw that were only used if there was some sort of service disruption. They built operational flexibility in from the start.
