There are a couple of locations - Brighton Road and Carlisle St, and Moonee
Ponds Jcn at least maybe others - where the junction has been elongated so
that the turnouts are not in the middle of the traffic. This ensures that
drivers are safe when hand operating the points that did not follow the
commend. They could not really be likened to those pictured in earlier
posts.
