Yarra Trams will replace the points connecting St Kilda Rd and Fitzroy
St and will relay the tracks in St Kilda Rd and Brighton Rd near
Carlisle St in July.

My 'before' pic is nearly 50 years old - showing the junction when it
was being re-configured in the late 1960s.  It's in the TDU archive at:

The Fitzroy St junction is roughly where the distant W2 (probably 383)
is in that pic.  The hotel was isolated on a traffic island by the
junction works and was  closed and demolished a few years afterwards.
