Re: IWLR suspended due to flooding in Hay St. Again (17th June 2019)

The line was closed yesterday between Lewisham West and Dulwich Hill for an hour or two due to flooding too. There was a heavy downpour for an hour from around 10:30 that caused local road closures, and around 11:30 I found 2122 at Dulwich Grove unable to run to the terminus. I got the 428 bus back to Petersham and walked home from there.

Dunno how deep the water was that caused the closure, which must have been near DH terminus, but water laying on the ballast at Dulwich Grove was well below rail head level.

When I later caught the tram to Paddy’s from Taverners Hill around 14:00 the line had reopened.
