Only the two prototypes (the B1s) were fitted with poles and that was
only so they could run all over the system before all the overhead was
pan compatible.

I had assumed that they never used the poles in passenger traffic, but
David's (rather nice!) set of pics shows them with a Moreland destination.

Did they actually run in revenue traffic on that day ... and others ...
with poles?
