Rogue train fails to stop at Chatswood amid Sydney Metro teething issues May 31, 2019 156 comments.As the new Sydney Metro Northwest's first working week draws to a close, teething problems that beset the new driverless trains are continuing to bug commuters using the line.Passengers arriving at Chatswood station about 7.45am during Friday morning peak found themselves stuck on a rogue train that stopped at the platform with its doors closed for about five minutes, then continued past the platform and away from the station towards the city.A crowded platform for Metro services at Epping station about 8am on Monday.  Credit: Peter RaeThe train eventually stopped again and, after another five minutes, turned back, dropping all passengers on the metro platform heading in the opposite direction – where passengers travelling west were waiting to board."So we've got to get off the train with all the other people trying to get on the train, then go down the escalator then across the station back up the other side to get on the train to go into the city," Daniel Timms, 29, said."It was just a horrible morning to be totally honest."Mr Timms said passengers on board the rogue train were frustrated that they weren't being told what was going on."There was a metro staff member on board but no one was really telling us anything," he said.The issue caused him to arrive at work about 30 minutes later than usual, he said.It's not the only problem the Metro had on Friday.
