Part of the life extension program for the Z, A and B class trams is replacement of window gl;ass with anti - scratch glass which I understand has a plastic film to resist the scratchers.
The refurbed trams do look a lot better, but it is disappointing that they stopped short of upholstery renewal and re-coating of grab rails as an economy measure.
