checked and found my camera was still set to daylight
saving time, so the time was 11:46am.

Impressive that you got this shot traffic-free at that time of the day! I
have obviously only been through there grinding by car to the
freeway/airport in recent years, so I'd not seen the road clear.

Of course, the long shadows from the almost-noonday winter's sun.
