As I understand it, windows were broken by the snapping cables, not by the
passengers. (Why try and break a window when you can just open the door?)
Jumping out of the train was unwise, but not unexpected when people left
without any power, light, aircon, or even announcements over the PA (the
battery backup should have kept it working, but didn't) for hours on end.
