A bit of Ballarat history

I'm scanning some old negs today and came across some pics of my choice of elegance in tram design.

I made the attached pic during a TMSV visit to Ballarat in 1968 and it shows Ballarat 43 at the Sebastopol terminus - close to refreshments!

Ballarat 43 started out as P&MTT 40, became MMTB 40 and then Geelong 40 before transfer to Ballarat.

After the Ballarat closure it went back to Geelong and was re-numbered 40 by the local Apex club.

It is now at Bylands.
