One thing that is not very obvious from all of the previous is that
Caulfield has four platforms and yet with skillful incompetence, they have
reduced it to one ---- YES ONE ---- platform that trains from Oakleigh can
terminate at. Frankston line trains can use three. The connections from
the Dandenong line to wards the through lines side of the place did not
need to be removed but why was the crossover towards platform 4 removed
during a recent "tidying up" of trackwork at Caulfield. Silly dumb
idiots who never use PT at all should never be in charge of these projects,
bring back the VR Commissioners I say. At least they were railwaymen.

A month or so ago there was that power failure somewhere around Armadale.
My spark caught up to the queue of trains waiting for the one platform at
Caulfield at ......................... wait for it
........................... Noble Park. Yep Noble Park. I had at first
thought of the 901 bus to Ringwood from Dandenong but then thought of the
902 from Springvale to Nunawading, surely we would get there OK. Nup
silly me. And the 902 was absolutely chockers from the station but I
walked one stop south and got on before the masses.
