I wonder if the Queenslander was Ian Lynas?

From the pictures posted on Facebook, it would appear one of the first if not THE first enthusiast passengers was David Critchley (from Sydney Tram Museum) and his son.

Valid comment about “the hobby” not being personable; our focus is the tramways – always. Not people.

Spotted a number of enthusiasts about. Most kept to themselves (I'm afraid our hobby isn't known for being personable), but I did say hi to a few familiar faces. Spotted a Queenslander in the throng too. They came from far and wide today.

Trams were still running with standing loads at 18:00, although the service frequency was starting to get a bit wobbly. I got passed by a tram around that time that had quite noticeable wheel flats - but only on the trailing bogie. Whatever they did, only skidded one bogie...

One thing I did notice, unlike Sydney's CAF trams, these ones don't 'waddle' at 70km/hr. As to if they stay this stable once they get some miles on them, I don't know. Later research visit required :-)
