I stood behind the driver on a ride of Paris T3 and they are
accelerating and braking at the full rate as programmed into the tram -
most drivers operated the master controller as if it was a 3 position
switch, full power, off/coast , full brake. Certainly the take off was
when they got the beep indicating doors closed, they pushed that handle
full forward, none of this gradually taking power crap - bang 100%.

So the acceleration of the T3 route trams is that programmed into them
by Alstom.

I've seen them attempt to drive the TFS part low floors the same way,
and they wheel spin from a standing start when abused in this fashion.
Their 1990's chopper controller can't compensate for wheel spin quite
fast enough as it tried to follow the drivers inputs exactly.
