With suburban train station spacing and long distances. No one in the Hills is going to drive to a metro station and go one or two stops, they will just drive straight to their destination. The people using the line will be running long distances to either Nth Ryde, North Sydney or the CBD.

And there is plenty of parking in North Ryde still, I expect the 'metro' will attract very few Nth Ryde/Hills commuters out of their cars. The CBD commuters will be wanting their single seat ride bus routes back. (As apposed to no seat 'metro' ride).
