Very good. I notices that you have managed to get photos of two types of vehicles both of which are now scrapped - the trams and
the monorail trains. Very noticeable in the shot that showed a monorail train accelerating from a stop was the noise it made. So
much for "quiet" elevated monorails!

Compared with today’s standards, the first Sydney light rail line commenced carrying passengers rather quickly after the first tram
was delivered – approximately 10 weeks and that involved training of all the drivers as well.

However historians tend to ignore this start of service on 11 August, and only count the official opening date of 31 August as the
opening.

In some respects this video is timely in that 2107, the last tram in the order, last year joined the Sydney Tramway Museum fleet.
However you won’t see it in this video, as it will still being built in Melbourne at that time.
