It's 'feature' appears to be easily replaceable segments and the 'arc
chute' to pull the arc upwards and extinguish it.
I notice that the two bits were the arc would form are separate segments
, joined with short link wires.
In the event a section needs to be isolated for works, the link wires
would be disconnected by the crew setting up the exclusion zone making a
large dead gap that the shoe wouldn't be able to bridge.
