I was aware of Noel as a famous name on bylines and STM material for many
years before I had the chance to meet him. Thereafter we exchanged a lot
of email correspondence on railway & tramway engineering: privately, and
via TDU. I travelled on a Sydney Harbour cruise with Australian Ferry
Society with Noel and Doreen as fellow passengers.
Who of today's generation will fill Noel's shoes for a new era?
