Newcastle update OT

Tram Gunzle discovered that the term 'BERM' means literally an artificial
ridge or embankment, such as one built as a defence against tanks.

It's reasonably common to seize on a familiar word to convey something to
motorists, e.g ZIP-MERGE.

I noticed in Amsterdam that signs warning of speed-humps ahead say DREMPELS.
As I understand, a drempel is the step of the frame surrounding an exterior
door, and slightly higher than floor level.
