A few things: The Prague greasing tram runs all hours, day and night. It
greases on the go, so there's no interruption. Hi rail and other off track
vehicles are used for grinding and welding. These vary from Tatra/unimog
pattern, to various specialised hand pushed custom made grinders/welders.
When these are used, traffic is simply routed around them. The changes are
posted on affected stops and on the website a few days before. Sometimes
they will compromise and do this on weekends and in Summer, but mostly it's
any time.
