Re: A book about Melbourne trams for Christmas?

Thanks for this advice Mal.

And on the topic of tramway books for those following the CSELR saga in
Sydney the Sydney Tramway Museum has now produced a reprint of the late
David Keenan's "The South Eastern Lines of the Sydney Tramway System".
This classic complete with maps and pictures shows many of the locations
where the CSELR project is uncovering evidence of the existence of
tramways (not Light Rail) in the area together with details of the
service frequency and hours of operation of the Tramways.  Many will
find the details of the time taken to build the various trunk lines and
their subsequent extensions to be considerable interest.  These lines
were serviced by Australia's largest Tram Depot - Dowling Street.

The Museum can be contacted on Wednesdays and Sundays on 02 9542 3646.
