Why was the Melbourne PCC car numbered 980 ?
The M&MTB had the PCC equipment from about 1949, so that the tram had been
planned well in advance of its construction . . . so why was that
particular fleet number chosen ?
No wild guesses, please !
This might be a case for research at the PROV (to which I currently do not
have access).
