David, it looks like Kevin is correct - 436 had distinctive evenly-spaced
pillars in the drop centre (although, it's a bit hard to tell from your
photos as the blood keeps rushing to my head !) and only 2 doors per side.
The "Prepare to Stop" signs are also an indication of a tram in service
after 1983 (see attached enlargement, invert if in NZ).
