Didn't there used to be restrictions for buses sharing parts of tram
route 48 in Balwyn? I assumed it was some kind of anti-competition
rules from way back (despite both routes at one stage being MMTB).

These days there seem to be quite a few locations where trams and
buses share a kerbside stop, such as buses 472+223 with tram 82 in
Droop St, Footscray.
