Here's a late addition to the pictures from A Non E Mous.

The location is the tram only bridge across the Maribyrnong River, built during WW2 to extend the tramway to the munitions factories at West Maribyrnong.

It was replaced by a combined tram and road bridge in the mid 1960s.

I'm guessing around 1950 as the year, but can be pretty sure that the pic was made on a Saturday - as the tram has an auxiliary board reading 'Nth Melbourne Football Ground'.
