I meant to mention that it was a railway timetable and I assume that it was
provided to the VR as a courtesy gesture; competition was not unknown
between the two. The 1 June date is the date of the WTT that it was
found in and that timetable was not superseded for 12 months so circulars
for the following months all got stuck in the WTTs.

Russell's article makes very interesting reading especially for the greatly
changed attitudes to public life.
