Victoria's Deputy Premier visited the former East Preston tram depot yestyerday to inspect progress on the B class life extensioj project.

The attached pic shows the car with most work done and comes from the Premier's facebook page.

I happened to be there myself just before the visit and the B is really looking like new.

A couple of minor changes are visible in the pic.

1. The panel between the drivers cab and saloon windows no longer has rof access steps.

2. The (aluminium) panels below the saloon windows are now all single window width - they used to be a micture of single and double widths.
