Stage 1 is now complete, but all of Moreland Rd between Sydney Rd and Nicholson St Coburg is closed for track replacement.
That's just under 1 km of double track.  No crossovers or junctions.

Today's pic is about half way along and shows the final asphalt layer being applied over the top of the crushed concrete fill as the work progresses from west to east.

All the rail is in place for the entire length and all is in concrete to sleeper height.
