RE: Photo Requests

Bob,

See attached picture of the signal box at Rozelle Depot Junction, probably taken on 9 November 1958. The photographer was the late Ron Selems.

The image needs extensive cleaning up if you plan to use it, although the signal box itself is fairly "clean".

Let me know if you want the original image - it is 1.8mb.

Dale

Subject: [TramsDownUnder] Photo Requests

Hello All

I am seeking some photos for a book, that I am getting laid out at present, covering the railway and tramway signal boxes of NSW.

Can any of the members of this group help with photos of the following tramway signal boxes, either as the main subject or in the background, or can point me towards where they might be found.

Bob T

Millers Point Jct - the original before the diversion for the Circular Quay railway construction
George & Market St - on the Gowings awning
Harris St Jct - the mini railway box
City Road Jct - the original with no windows and the following one with pressed metal side panels
Glebe & Forest Lodge Jct - all three
Rozelle Depot - the original that was located between the main lines
Victoria Road & Darling St Rozelle - with the pressed metal side panels
Gladesville Bridge - the bridge control cabin
Glebe Island bridge
Pitt & King St
Castlereagh & King
Elizabeth & King
Newtown Bridge - the mini railway box
