Recently Noel Reed asked if I had any photos of the temporary connection equipment used on the GC tram temporary siding for unloading visiting track tamper machines.
I had nothing (probably following a computer drive failure and no recent backups) but John Hudson did.
The first two images, both presumably supplied by Martinus Rail, were sent to me by Noel who asked was the equipment used anything like this?
The subsequent photos from John suggest strongly that it was exactly this.
It looks like this would not be suitable, in its present form, for use by tramcars but could handle lighter equipment.
I could be mistaken, but that truck/train used for ballast transport was also from Martinus, I suspect.
