Coincidentally, last night on TV there was one of those programs featuring the incidents that public transport and road controllers see on their CCTV (the best one was a cow on a railway platform at night in Brisbane!). One item showed a woman crossing the GCLR track at an angle, without checking behind her, yakking on her mobile using ear buds. A tram swept past about a paper's width from her nose under full emergency braking and gong going and she bounced back in shock. After the tram passed she continued walking on the other side still yakkety yakking into the phone.

I was going to use the tram around 7.30 this morning but it looks like the car will be getting a run instead.
