Metro Twitter, Sun.18.2.18.
23.49 Sat. Werribee/Williamstown lines: Major delays (a vandalised train
near South Kensington). Services may be held at platforms.
- 23.59 You gonna get us off soon; people are complaining about the fumes.
- 0.04 We are working with police;, we need to know that the area is safe,
we will move the train as soon as possible, if you can, move to another
carriage.
- 0.42 Werribee/Williamstown lines: Major Delays (an earlier vandalised
train near South Kensington).
- 0.43 What caused the lengthy delay in removing the train?
- 4.45 Your driver did an excellent job communicating calmly and effectively
in a difficult situation and one that was initially pretty scary for
passengers. Please pass on our thanks.
- 10.47 Shitheads blocked the train with a concrete block and vandalised it
as it was stopped. I hope they clutched it up straight away, don't give
these morons any satisfaction.
- 12.02 I hope the train is cleaned up quickly .Our carriage had some cans
thrown at the windows too. Idiots that were trying to spoil the night. Don't
give them publicity is my view too. Delayed us by about 45 mins plus and
impact on the rest of the train network.
- 12.03 I wonder what goes through their heads, if anything.
0.13 Alamein/Belgrave/Lilydale lines: Major Delays (an equipment fault in
the Camberwell area).
- 0.28 How long is the delay? I'm on a train at flinders that isn't moving.
- 0.30 We are working with emergency services to get trains moving.
- 0.39 Buses will replace trains between Box Hill and Burnley.
- 0.39 Yep. Looks like it may well be another power fault causing severe
damage. I'm tipping disruption for at least 4-6 hours.
- 0.49 Buses will replace trains between Riversdale and Camberwell
(equipment faults in the Camberwell area).
- 0.52 glad I did get out when I did.
- 0.53 Are buses coming to east Camberwell station or the replacement bus
stop 100m away?
- 0.54 They're taking a long time to identify the fault, let alone repair
it. The signs for a quick resolution are not good.
- 1.00 we have one bus on the way to East Camberwell.
- 1.04 Either who ever fixed it did a patch up job or another part of it
failed that may have been ok Friday anyone's guess.
- 1.11 The issue is under investigation. It looks like a power surge has
damaged trackside equipment.
- 1.13 Can Bel/Lil trains be rerouted to GWav? Advice to pax is to take GWav
trains, train I'm on is packed and can't take any more people!
- 1.16 We are asking passengers to go to Glen Iris, we have buses running
across from Glen Iris to Box Hill to make a connection. [But not providing
extra trains to Glen Iris; too hard and we can't cope].
- 1.26 Glen Waverley line: Major Delays (a train fault at Kooyong).
- 1.33 Trains now resume between Burnley and Box Hill, however with Major
Delays.
- 1.34 Trains now resume between Camberwell and Riversdale, however with
Minor Delays.
- 1.36 That was quick that's good for you guys even if some delays that's
better then what it could have been hope you guys have no more troubles.
- 1.46 we have been waiting for the bus.
0.42 Sunbury line: Major Delays (an earlier vandalised train near South
Kensington). [The four tracks, with two bypassing the station, were
useless?].

Alamein/Belgrave/Lilydale lines: Buses replace trains Burnley-Box
Hill/Alamein tonight from 22.00 because of urgent electrical works. Because
of limited bus availability, passengers are advised to alternate transport
or the Glen Waverley line.
Route 505 & 546 change this week to make way for tunnel works.
