I certainly would not be a "well publicized NSW consultant", perhaps rather an infamous or notorious maker of suggestions most of
which are intended to be sensible, but quite a few are more in the lines of "Tongue in the cheek".

Haven't been up to ride the extension yet, I am afflicted by those diseases of the later middle aged, laziness and procrastination!

As it is, since the meeting back in December, I rode the tram up Lygon Street (!), then I have been to Auckland for the RSCM Summer
School, where I managed to get in a short time at MOTAT, and to Sydney for State Council. Down to Sydney by train, then in the
evening had dinner with my niece and her family, and then back north by train. Only four passengers I think on the bus from Casino
to the coast - but remember this was Sunday evening! I think they are using better buses on this route now, as I did not feel
seasick in either direction - going to Casino was helped by having had a bottle of cider before the start!

What with handing over my duties as Treasurer for the Friends of the Tweed Heads Library, Bible Study, Book Club, reading books and
newspapers, I never seem to have time to do anything energetic! (Such as driving to Broadbeach and then catching a tram!)

Yes, Dudley. I have already been admonished for missing your name. I just don’t remember you being a well-publicised NSW consultant.

Funny that although you are a virtual neighbour just ‘down the road’ at the NSW border, I had to go to Melbourne to actually meet
you face to face :-)

Have you been up to ride the tram extension yet?

Regards,

Richard.

Intercity Rail, eh?

I don’t think Sydney’s trams will do 125 MPH. More like 125 Metres Per Hour, at least when nonsensical fiddling around is required
to reverse a tram. Maybe changing to battery traction for a few hundred metres will be faster (if equipped).

By the way, has anything useful at all, besides Howard Collins, ever come to NSW from England?

But that was done by the consultants engaged by TfNSW. Those
consultants were ex British Railways and were experts in Inter City rail

Obviously nobody bothered to think about the logistics of operation when
