This proposal is short on details including whether it would be a private line or part of QR. It does seem that it would have a Y shaped configuration with the junction at Caboolture, left arm to Nambour, right to the coastal towns.

It seems odd to me that the Federal Government would pour money into this but totally ignores the Brisbane Cross River Rail, probably as important as the Melbourne Metro which presumably has got federal funding.
