It's still a designated rail corridor although I think it's been
transferred away from the residual railcorp organisation - but as the
government found with Newcastle, it doesn't matter who 'owns' the
corridor, the rules apply.

So unless the government pushes though closure legislation for the line,
the RMS is still obliged to preserve the rail corridor. The local member
is quite keen about the museum, but I suspect he'd vote along party
lines if it ever came to that.
